Kern Hockey focuses on high-energy, game-focused training, and a key aspect of this is integrating skill sets. Athletes don't just learn skating, stickhandling, and shooting in isolation. Instead, they combine these techniques so that they become a whole.
Each session involves:
Skill Development: Athletes study and execute specific skating, stickhandling, and shooting techniques.
In-Game Application: These individual techniques are then immediately applied in a situational drill that mimics real game scenarios.
This approach is reflected in the program's emphasis on "Heads-up Hockey," which combines fundamental skills, setup positions, and dekes. Players who master this integrated approach can stickhandle effectively while maintaining full awareness of their surroundings. By integrating these skill sets, athletes develop the capacity to execute effectively in any game situation, a hallmark of players ready to compete and excel at the next level.
GOALIE – Skating, Controlled Movements, Puck Tracking, Save Selection, & Rebound Control
Kern Hockey’s goaltending program focuses on the fundamental skating, skill, and positioning techniques essential for this specialized position. The program aims to develop strong, foundational habits at a young age, which are crucial for achieving elite goaltending performance.
This program is designed for dedicated athletes seeking to gain a competitive edge through advanced training. Instruction is provided to athletes of all ages and levels, emphasizing the fundamentals of technique breakdown and mental training.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
Lesson Options: Private, Semi-Private, Small Group
Levels: Mite, SQ, PW, Bant, High School (Group Placement is done by Age and Ability
Dates: April 21 through June 11 (8 weeks)
Days: Mon & Wed (train once or twice per week)
Times Slots: 6:00-6:45am & 6:45-7:30am (45min per session)
Rink: @Champlin Ice Forum
PLAYER FEES:
Group: $360.00 (8 sessions/8 weeks -1x per week) or $720.00 (16 sessions/8 weeks -2x per week). Discount: Register 2x per week and receive 10% off (must pay in full). Group Prorate/Drop-ins: $50 per athlete/session
Semi-Private: $65 per athlete/session (pick and choose your dates)
Private: $85 per athlete/session (pick and choose your dates)
GOALIE FEES:
Semi-Private: $600.00 (8 sessions/8 weeks -1x per week)
Semi-Private: $85 per athlete/session (pick and choose your dates)
Private: $110 per athlete/session (pick and choose your dates)
Policies
Payment is non-refundable. No cancellations, credit, or refunds for any reason (medical or otherwise). If the rink closes due to weather, then the session will be rescheduled to a later date.
