What We Cover
Skating:
Stride, Edges, Heel Stride, Toe Starts, Punch Turns, 10 & 2, Crossovers
Pucks are consistently incorporated into skating drills, ensuring players can execute their refined techniques with a puck—directly translating skills to game situations.
Stickhandling & Puck Protection:
Set-up Positions: Between the Feet, Forehand, Backhand, Quarter Body, and Cross Body.
Puck Protection Techniques: Lateral Reach Forehand, Lateral Reach Backhand, & Full Lateral Reach.
We teach players to first prepare and position the puck in one of the five essential setup positions before executing a deke. Using these positions, we work on controlling the puck when it's extended away from the body, enhancing your ability to maintain possession and evade defenders.
Dekes:
Foot-to-foot, Slip Through, Pull Back, Toe Pull, Pull In/Push Out, & Side Deke.
We combine set-up positions with modern dekes that lead directly into a shot, all within drills designed to transfer seamlessly to real-game scenarios.
Shooting:
Wrist Shot: Shoot off your back foot, releasing the puck from the heel to the middle of the blade.
Quick Release/Stride Shot: Shoot in stride off your front foot, releasing the puck off the toe of the blade.
By focusing on different angles and scenarios, we prepare players to be effective shooters in all game situations.
